Nepal Trek Packages
Since moving to Nepal in 2023, one of the questions I get asked the most is: “Can you help organize a trek in Nepal?” And honestly, I get it. Planning a trek here can feel overwhelming. There are hundreds of trekking agencies, thousands of blog posts, and way too much conflicting information online.
You’re trying to figure out:
- Which trek is actually right for you
- What permits you need
- How difficult the trek really is
- Whether you need a guide
- How much it should cost
- And who you can actually trust
That’s exactly why I created these Nepal trek packages. I’ve been trekking in Nepal since 2015 and living here full-time since 2023.
Over the years, I’ve partnered with a local Nepali trekking agency that I personally trust and recommend. Together, we organize trekking packages in Nepal that are straightforward, flexible, and designed for international travellers who want a smooth trekking experience without overpaying or dealing with the stress of planning everything themselves.
Whether you want to trek to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Langtang Valley, or somewhere less touristy — we can help organize the entire trip for you.
Why Book a Trek Package in Nepal?
You can absolutely organize a trek independently in Nepal. A lot of people do. But for many travellers, booking a trek package just makes the experience easier.
Especially if:
- It’s your first time trekking in Nepal
- You’re short on time
- You don’t want to deal with permits and logistics
- You’d rather have local support during the trek
- You want someone to help if plans change
The reality is that trekking in Nepal is amazing, but it’s not always simple. Flights get delayed. Weather changes. Altitude affects people differently. Transport can be chaotic. And trekking routes can be more physically demanding than expected.
Having a guide and a team organizing things behind the scenes makes the whole experience smoother and a lot less stressful.
What’s Included in the Trek Packages?
Most of the Nepal trekking packages include:
- Airport pick up and drop off
- Hotels in Kathmandu or Pokhara (depending on the trek)
- Trekking permits
- Accommodation during the trek
- Transportation (in country)
- Experienced trekking guide and porter
- 3 meals during the trek
Everything can also be customized depending on your budget, travel style, and timeframe.
Private Treks — No Big Tour Groups
One thing I personally don’t like about a lot of trekking companies is the huge group-tour feeling. That’s not what these treks are. Most of the packages are private treks, meaning it’s just you (or your group) with your guide.
No random strangers added to your trip. No massive groups moving at different speeds. Just a more relaxed and personal trekking experience.
Trekking Packages in Nepal
Everest Base Camp Trek
If you’ve always dreamed about trekking to Everest Base Camp, this is the classic route. It’s challenging, unforgettable, and one of the best trekking experiences in the world. You’ll trek through Sherpa villages, cross suspension bridges, sleep in mountain teahouses, and eventually reach Everest Base Camp itself. The sunrise view from Kala Patthar is honestly one of the most incredible mountain views I’ve ever seen.
This trek is best for people who:
- Want a proper adventure
- Have decent fitness
- Don’t mind long trekking days
- Want the full Himalaya experience
Duration: 14 Days
Difficulty: Challenging
Best Season: Spring & Autumn
Annapurna Base Camp Trek
The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the best all-around treks in Nepal.
You get a bit of everything:
- Mountain views
- Forest trails
- Villages
- And an incredible amphitheatre of Himalayan peaks at base camp
It’s generally considered slightly easier than Everest Base Camp and is a great option for first-time trekkers in Nepal.
Duration: 11 Days
Difficulty: Moderate
Mardi Himal Trek
Mardi Himal is one of my favourite shorter treks in Nepal. It’s less crowded than Annapurna Base Camp, easier to fit into a shorter Nepal itinerary, and the mountain views are unreal. The trek takes you along close-up views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), which is probably one of the most beautiful mountains in Nepal.
This is a great trek if:
- You’re short on time
- You want fewer crowds
- You’re doing your first trek in Nepal
- You want something moderately challenging but still achievable
Duration: 9 Days
Difficulty: Moderate
Langtang Valley Trek
Langtang is one of the most underrated trekking regions in Nepal. It’s close to Kathmandu and easier logistically than Everest. The scenery is just beautiful!
Duration: 10 Days
Difficulty: Moderate
Pikey Peak Trek
Pikey Peak is one of the best short treks in Nepal for Everest views. Even Sir Edmund Hillary supposedly said this was one of his favourite Everest viewpoints. Compared to Everest Base Camp, the altitude is lower, the trekking is easier, and there are far fewer people.
It’s ideal if you:
- Want Himalayan views without doing a huge trek
- Have limited time
- Prefer quieter trails
- Are newer to trekking
Duration: 10 Days
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Do You Need Trekking Experience?
Not necessarily. A lot of people who do these treks are not experienced trekkers. You don’t need mountaineering skills or technical climbing experience.
You just need:
- Reasonable fitness
- The ability to walk for multiple days
- A willingness to be uncomfortable sometimes
- And a good attitude
Some treks are definitely harder than others though. If you’re not sure which trek is realistic for your fitness level, just send me a message and I can point you in the right direction.
Why I Recommend Using Local Guides in Nepal
Even if you’re an experienced traveller, having a local guide in Nepal makes a huge difference.
Not just for navigation, but for:
- Safety
- Altitude awareness
- Local knowledge
- Flexibility when plans change
- Communication in villages
- And supporting the local economy
A good guide can completely change your trekking experience. And honestly, some of my best memories trekking in Nepal came from the people I trekked with.
